Boy sailor chats with German skipper
One of the Gallipoli veterans whom I interviewed many years ago was Ernie Boston, a 16 year old aboard the first HMAS Sydney. Ernie had a remarkable conversation with the German captain of the destroyed SMS Emden in November 1914.
